HOUSTON — During Endometriosis Awareness Month, the Endometriosis Foundation of Houston is teaming up with area businesses for a feminine hygiene product drive to benefit the Mission of Yahweh, a local women and children's shelter.

Between March 1 and March 31, EFHou will collect donations of feminine hygiene products, including sanitary napkins, panty liners, tampons and menstrual cups. The Mission of Yahweh is a 501 c3 nonprofit that offers a variety of assistance programs focused on ending the cycle of homelessness and dependency, including transitional housing, aftercare programs, spiritual counseling and educational and vocational support.

The Endometriosis Foundation of Houston (pending nonprofit status) is a new organization in Houston whose mission is to raise awareness of endometriosis - a chronic disease affecting nearly 200 million women worldwide and roughly 300,000 women in the greater Houston area. Endometriosis is as common as asthma and requires a medical diagnosis, but it can take a person an average of 10 years to be properly diagnosed by a doctor. Let's change that!

Ways you can help: Buy or collect female hygiene products including sanitary napkins, panty liners, tampons and menstrual cups and take them to on of our drop-off locations.
